The Prince William County Animal Services Bureau strives to maximize live releases. Euthanasia is used as an outcome when needed for end of life, to alleviate suffering, owner requested due to lack of potential for recovery/rehabilitation, and for the protection of public safety. Animals are not euthanized for space or time.
