Other miscellaneous explanatory notes:

In October of 2024 we assisted a local shelter with a very large hoarding case involving over 300 rats. We took 74 rats from this case, all of whom were extremely ill. One of these rats was euthanized on the day of intake, another six passed away in the days immediately following intake due to the medical conditions caused by the abuse and neglect in the previous home despite veterinary intervention upon arrival.
