Other miscellaneous explanatory notes:

We are a life care facility, taking in animals who will usually spend their natural lives with us. Very few are adopted as our residents are older, have social issues, or chronic problems like diabetes. Our turn over rate is very slow since we can only take in to the capacity of our housing. Hence one passes away, one of that kind can come in. When the budget allows, we have the land to expand. But can only do that if we're very confident of a sustained increase in the budget so we can provide care for life.

A few get adopted, but we refer adoptable animals to organizations who focus on adoption, we rarely have ones that meet the general public's idea of adoptable.

All animals euthanizations are done by our vets and only in cases of serious medical conditions that cannot be corrected or managed while providing a comfortable quality of life. We never euthanize for population control.
