One dog was taken into custody when dog's owner was arrested/taken into custody by Nelson County Sheriff's Office.
One dog was taken into custody after Nelson County Sheriff's Office arrived at a home where the dog's owner was found deceased.
One dog was found roaming a largely populated/busy music festival. The owner of the dog was contacted but was out of the area/unable to retrieve the dog. NCAC took the dog into protective custody for safekeeping to ensure the safety of the dog until owner was able to reclaim.
Two dogs appeared at a residence and were being aggressive to both the property owner and her dog. The property owner knew who owned the dogs and called NCAC. NCAC contacted the owner who was out of the area and unable to come remove the dogs from the property. Due to aggression from the dogs, for their own safety and the safety of the property owner and her dog, NCAC took the dogs into protective custody for safekeeping until the owner could reclaim.
